Digest This! More Than Just Digestion (Vol. 1)

June 24, 20261 min read

Enzymes. Enzymes. Enzymes. These superheroes are more than just digestive support. In fact, there are so many other abilities to list, that we have to do this in volumes.

Why We Need Enzymes

Enzymes make life possible. They are the catalysts for every chemical reaction in the body. As we all know, enzymes help digestion and nutrient bioavailability, but they do so much more. They deliver nutrients to cells, support cellular function and structure, enable cellular communication, and are essential for vitamins, minerals, and hormones to perform their jobs.

Cell Health is Your Health

How healthy you are is dependent on how healthy your cells are. We are made up of cells — that includes our organs, tissues, bones, everything from head to toe. This adds up to over 30 trillion cells in our body. We require 20,000 enzymes just to keep one cell alive and well.

Yes, we make our own enzymes, but our propensity to make our own diminishes every decade starting at around age 30. Plus, this isn’t even factoring in the environmental factors that are slowing things down already. Our cell health is dependent on the nutrients we consume, absorb, and utilize. We have to take care of business.

The Process

Digestive enzymes break down what we eat and turn our foods into bioavailable nutrients. Metabolic enzymes take that fuel and power every cell, organ, and tissue. By supplementing digestive enzymes, we’re taking the burden off of our bodies and allowing it to put its energy towards other functions to repair, rejuvenate, and renew.
